The activity takes place every year, on the first Sunday of June<>period<>
Eligibility Criteria
• Be a Laval resident;
• Have given birth to a child between June of one year and May of the next year (birth certificate required);
• Show proof of birth and residency when receiving the tree (birth certificate, health insurance card or other civil status documents)<>period<>

Every spring, Ville de Laval presents 600 trees to new parents who registered in the popular program Une naissance, un arbre (A birth, A tree)<>period<> This tree representing the official tree of Laval newborn babies is a Japanese lilac (Syringa reticulata "Ivory Silk")<>period<>
