Each year, in communities across Canada, teams or families, friends, co-workers and local and national corporations come together to raise funds for The Leukemia <>apmppersand<> Lymphoma Society of Canada<>apostrophe<>s (LLSC<>apostrophe<>s) Light The Night Walk events and bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers<>period<> With all this work and solidarity a dream came true last year<>period<>
We became the 3rd biggest Light the Night walk in all of North America and raised 1,2 million dollars for the cause<>period<>
This year, we aim to raise the bar higher<>period<>This year marks the 10th annual "Light the Night" walk, which will take place on October 17th at Parc Jean-Drapeau<>period<> This event will bring together more than 6,000 individuals who are all walking towards the same goal - to fight blood cancer<>period<> Light The Night Walk events are evenings filled with inspiration<>period<> During this leisurely walk, family and friends gather in select sites across Canada to bring light to the dark world of cancer<>period<> Thousands of walkers carry illuminated lanterns showcasing their relation to the cause; a white lantern for blood cancer survivors, a red one to walk as a supporter and a gold one in memory of a loved one<>period<>
