Getting kids to drop their screen time in favour of physical activity can be a challenge even in the best of times. In the midst of a global pandemic—and in a time when most activity and amusement centres for youth have been closed for months—the challenge is even greater. That’s why iSaute has committed to making its Quebec facilities as safe as possible, so that patrons can enjoy the benefits of this family-friendly activity.

What is iSaute?
iSaute is an indoor activity park for all ages (adults love it too!) that boasts plenty of activities such as trampoline jumping, wall-climbing, foam basketball, Laser Maze, Virtual Reality and much more! Its family-friendly atmosphere is great for getting the kids out of the house and getting some exercise, and its birthday party packages are a big hit too.

“Our mission, values and vision is in line with our promise to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience—every time,” says Steven Yeffa, CEO.

What makes iSaute unique as an indoor activity is that it can be enjoyed year-round as a group or even in a solitary fashion. Jump alone or jump with friends! Either way, the facility offers something for everyone, even for parents who just want to take a little downtime while their child has a blast bouncing around. There are plenty of observation spots for parents to hang out if they’re not jumping themselves, as well as a concession stand with additional seating so you can fuel up for more fun afterwards.

“Our core values center around getting and keeping people active,” says Kathryn Berkhimer, Vice-President of Marketing. “It’s about active, healthy, family fun. Our team members enjoy being around kids and their families.”

Safety Measures in the Era of COVID-19
At all iSaute locations, the management and administration adhere to the strictest health and safety measures currently in place as dictated by public health authorities in each region.

In addition to the already stringent cleaning procedures in place, the parks have committed to new procedures across the board to ensure that patrons can enjoy the facilities in the safest environment possible. Additional team members will be added during opening hours and deployed as continuous cleaners. There will also be a greeter/wellness checker at entry points providing hand sanitizer. There are new limits on the number of people that can be admitted at a time.

Employees will be wearing masks and gloves. Facilities will also be thoroughly disinfected with the use of anti-microbial fogging mists, a regular treatment that is sprayed on all hard and soft surfaces during off-hours and which acts as a disinfectant and sealant, preventing bacteria and viruses from remaining active. According to Yeffa, all high touch areas will be cleaned every hour.

Perhaps the most convenient aspect of iSaute’s trampoline equipment is the fact that each trampoline is approximately a 10-foot square, and as per the usual jumping rules, only one jumper per square is permitted at a time. This makes physical distancing measures much easier to maintain, since it was a practice already in place prior to the pandemic.

Innovation and Looking to the Future
Despite the challenges that the pandemic has brought on, the team at iSaute are fully committed to delivering a quality and safe experience for its Guests. This also includes considerations for individuals with special sensory needs. Yeffa says that later this year, iSaute will be rolling out options catered toward sensory-sensitive Guests, such as specialized hours in which music will be played at a lower volume and the intensity of lights in the facility will be lowered.

As the province reopens, families can once again look forward to a fun-filled entertainment experience that keeps them healthy and active at their nearest iSaute location.
