It always amazes me the fact that we live and/or work in Laval, yet we take for granted what our city has to offer. As a case in point, let’s consider the Cosmodome, a great place for the whole family where everyone can learn and have fun.

4th Annual Young Author’s Contest 2015 – 2016
LFM & LLFM in collaboration with the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (Laval, Laurentian, Lanaudière) celebrate young talent from 26 Elementary Schools, 9 High Schools and 5 Adult Education Centers (that was over 15,000 students).

The Golden Touch Operetta;
The second installation of a trilogy; a project that has taken 18 months and over two hundred students of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board along with the artistic collaboration of Governor General's Literary Awards author, Glen Huser, composer Giannis Georgantelis, illustrator Philippe Béha and producer Dimitris Ilias.

We’re proud to share it was the only Anglophone project accepted as part of the City of Laval’s 50th Anniversary grant. The official launch of the CD/Book will be on October 28, 2015, at le Centre Embassy Plaza.

Honoring Survivors and Inspiring People to Have Courage;
On Friday, June 12, 2015, students and staff of Laurier Senior High School dedicated a tree on the front lawn of their school in honour of everyone that has battled any form of cancer. The new pink-flowering tree will serve as a visible reminder of the fight against cancer which so many people have courageously fought.

A Father’s Perspective on His Child’s Disability;
When Michael Hum learned of his son’s Dyslexia and ADHD, he went through turmoil of emotions that took him on a path of introspection and self-awareness. In his article, Hum shares his past mistakes and amends that led him on a journey to being a better father and husband.

Youth Empowerment;
What does it mean to be a leader? What does it entail? At Tamaracouta Scout Reserve, they implement SPICES, a youth leadership program that enables youth to develop the confidence and skills required to become a strong leader within their communities.

The Importance of Inter-Faith Dialogue
In the troubled times we live in now, it takes tolerance and love for all religions to seek a dialogue that will lead to world peace.
