The Holidays are coming, a new year is around the corner and, as usual, we’ve got our hands full. This past year has been somewhat of a whirlwind but 2018 has certainly been good to us – and I hope it’s been just as good to all of you.

From September 20 to 30, we held our very first comedy festival right here in Laval. I am so proud of how Festival Laval Laughs turned out and even more proud of all those who helped it come together – from those behind-the-scenes to those on stage. If you had the chance to see one of our hilarious shows at Théâtre Marcellin-Champagnat, Cabaret C, and Espace Éphèmere, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This festival has been a long-time dream of mine and to see it come to fruition, with such success, has been a humbling experience.

As the Holidays come and go and we settle into a new year, we have so many new things to share with all of you. In this issue, you’ll get to know a lot more about one of your favourite morning radio show hosts, Cousin Vinny. He opened up to us about his career, his family, and his new life as a father to a beautiful baby girl. We also have lots of details on Citytv’s new show, CityNews. This local show is changing the standard and showing us news in an entirely new way.

This issue also has yet another Mom Talk feature on page 48. Breakfast Television’s Catherine Verdon-Diamond has some great tips on how to deal with some difficult family issues during the Holidays. And we also have a piece about Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, which is in January. In this article, you’ll find lots of details every woman should know because your health comes first.

And finally, we hope you take a look at our Expo Camp feature. See how last year’s Expo turned out and find out what you may find at this year’s show. No matter what holiday you celebrate, who you celebrate it with, or what you have on your agenda this season, I – and my two four-legged friends – sincerely wish you a happy and safe Holiday season, filled with lots of love and joy. Cheers to you, to us, and to a brand new year!
