Job Search Clubs exist! And yes, they are still an effective way to unite job seekers, break isolation and share the trials and tribulations of searching for that next career opportunity. The reality of today's market has left some feeling alone and overwhelmed that those interview rejections or unanswered applications have somehow become personal. So, what can one do to break the monotony and sometimes stagnant routine of seeking employment?

Why not consider Laval's Groupe Priorité Travail Job Search Club? This interactive group service has been helping Anglophone job seekers for over 20 years come together to learn, stay motivated, network and above all, to offer support and advice for all aspects of what a job search involves. Our interactive group workshops help participants fine tune their technics and connect with other job seekers. With the vast population turning to those ever so popular job websites such as Indeed or Jobilico, as well as creating professional profiles, the focus has now turned to finding exactly how to stand out or to be recognized in a sea of qualified candidates. Diversity in job-seeking techniques plays a big role in furthering our candidacy. Being prepared, consistently applying and having a positive attitude are considered key elements to a successful job search.

Past participants often say that following the club gave them structure and accountability for their daily actions. There is undeniable proof that persistence and perseverance can go a long way. Taking time to study the market, analyze job offers and find companies of interest: these actions might help you take that first step forward. Are asking yourself how many hours should you put towards your job search? Can you call employers? What should you put in your resumé? Do you have to write a cover letter?
